ITINERARY
DAY 01: ARRIVE IN SARAJEVO
Arrive in Sarajevo. Upon arrival, check-in at your hotel and time to refresh. In the evening, enjoy time at leisure.
Overnight in Sarajevo.
DAY 02: SARAJEVO WALKING TOUR
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Sarajevo city center and will meet your guide. In just little more than two hours, you will be shown a unique line where East meets West. Join and find out more about the city which is also called as “the Jerusalem of Europe”. The city that is commonly associated with the siege in the 1990’s has plenty more to offer. Sarajevo is a living museum, with centuries of history vying for space amidst its mosques, cathedrals, market squares and bridges. Join in a journey through the past where the guide will reveal the small and big secrets of this city and introduce you to the mysticism of Sarajevo streets and alleys. The tour will take you to the main sights of the Ottoman and Austro-Hungarian architecture and will show you a unique line where East meets West. Start at National library and visit the famous Bascarsija street, Enjoy the scent of fresh made coffee, flavors from hookah, sound of church bells and call from the minarets. Learn about the assassination that triggered the First World War and discover Gazi Husrev-Beg Mosque. Rest of the day is at leisure. (B)

DAY 03: HERZEGOVINA TOUR
After breakfast, do a scenic drive through Sarajevo and to Herzegovina region. Have a nice day in this city of stone on stone, historical, political, scientific and cultural center of Herzegovina lies at the foot of the slopes of Velez Mountain, in the Neretva River valley. Pass through Jablanica Lake and hear the story of Neretva battle, one of the biggest of WW2, made into a movie with Orson Welles as a star. Drive to Mostar. It is a city of sun, a city in which the culture and art of the east and west meet, Nonetheless, the most magnificent stone monument is the Stari Most (Old Bridge), built in 1566 according to the plans of Hayreddin, the great Turkish builder of the 16th century. It has a large stone arch and has been entered on UNESCO’s World Heritage List. Also make a visit to Turkish House to explore different architectural styles. After a pleasant walking tour, spend some time in Mostar on your own, before continuing to Medjugorje pilgrimage site. After a short orientation walk, take some free time for independent exploring of various religious monuments in Medjugorje. In the late afternoon drive back to Sarajevo for an evening at leisure. (B)

DAY 04: JAJCE HISTORIC TOWN TOUR
After breakfast, depart Sarajevo and drive to historic town of Jajce that has an important place in Bosnian history, especially during medieval times of independent Bosnia, or later in the Ottoman Empire. In the center of the town, river Pliva over tufa rock, flows into the river Vrbas, creating a magnificent waterfall, a symbol of Jajce. From there start your walking tour through the town filled with monuments from different historic periods. Former Yugoslavia was created here during World War II and the whole town is a historic site for itself. You will have a chance to visit Catacombs, located inside the city walls, next to the Bear Tower. The monument Catacombs (underground church, the crypt) is an underground building carved into the solid rock and is placed 6 metre under the earth. After the visit, enjoy some free time for independent exploring of the town, before departing back to Sarajevo for an evening at leisure. Return back to Sarajevo. (B)

DAY 05: DEPARTURE DAY
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Sarajevo International Airport for your flight. (B)
