Tour Plan

ARRIVE IN COSTA RICA

You will arrive at the San Jose International Airport where you will be welcomed and handed over your travel documentation and then transferred by bus to your hotel in downtown Overnight in San Jose

SAN JOSE - TORTUGUERO

Early in the morning, a bus will pick you up at the hotel in San Jose. You will be crossing the famous Braulio Carrillo National Park before enjoying a delicious breakfast. Later, you will continue driving to Tortuguero and board a boat for the last stretch of the road through the impressive Tortuguero canals to your hotel in the jungle. You will be welcomed with cocktail followed by a buffet lunch. The afternoon is reserved for a visit to the village of Tortuguero where you can visit the Marine Turtle Conservation Museum (optional at extra cost) or walk along the beach. After the dinner (at the hotel), you may participate in an optional night walk to the beach to observe the sea turtles' nesting process (not included). This tour can only be enjoyed between July and September. (B,L,D) Overnight in Tortuguero

VISIT THE TORTUGUERO NATIONAL PARK

Today you will have the opportunity to visit the Tortuguero National Park. In addition, you will explore the trails of the hotel to continue admiring the flora and fauna of the place. Meals are served at the hotel. The rest of the day you can walk through the gardens and relax in the pool. (B,L,D) Overnight in Tortuguero

TORTUGUERO - LA FORTUNA

After breakfast, you will leave for Caño Blanco/La Pavona by boat and from here you will continue by bus to Guápiles where lunch is served. Once you have finished, the second part of the route will take you to your next destination: La Fortuna de San Carlos, where the majestic Arenal Volcano is located. (B,L) Overnight in La Fortuna

VISIT VOLCANO ARENAL

After breakfast, the morning is at your own leisure or for optional activities like hanging bridges, a visit to La Fortuna Waterfall, horseback riding, rafting or a cultural tour. In the afternoon, you will go on a Volcano Arena tour where you will be able to walk along trails surrounded by stones and older lava. During the tour you can watch a great variety of plants, wildlife, the Arenal Lake and the sunset. (B) Overnight in La Fortuna

LA FORTUNA - MONTEVERDE

After breakfast depart to Monteverde. Today you will be travelling from the northern plains to the mountains of the Guanacaste mountain range, where the Monteverde Cloud Forest is located. Afternoon is at your own leisure. (B) Overnight in Monteverde

MONTEVERDE CLOUD FOREST – A HIDDEN WORLD

After breakfast, get ready to explore the Monteverde cloud forest, an unique forest considered one of the places that you must visit when you travel to Costa Rica. Here you have high possibility to observe animals and birds such as quetzals, bellbirds, toucans, hummingbirds, the armadillos, coatimundi, agoutis, sloths, etc. in their natural habitat. MONTEVERDE - PACIFIC BEACHES/SAN JOSE
